Born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Margaret was raised in a family of entrepreneurs and got hands on lessons in business throughout her formative years.
Margaret furthered her work experience by completing a Co-op degree in Political Science and Business, followed by a Masters in Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology both at the University of Waterloo. Margaret remained at the university assisting with program development in Engineering while con-currently founding her own tech company and guiding it through 2 raises. With her diverse business experience, insight into the technology and start up culture, Margaret made a natural transition into Talent Acquisition in 2016.
Leading the charge in TR’s rapid tech expansion, Margaret specializes in connecting candidates to positions with emphasis on team and cultural fit. Her innate ability to identify high quality candidates has allowed her to work with hiring managers to fill positions from Early Careers to Executive level positions.
Outside of work, Margaret manages a real estate investment and property management company.
With 12 years’ experience in talent acquisition and HR Lyndsey has had the opportunity to work with growing organizations in Toronto, Portland and San Francisco.
After several years on the west coast, Lyndsey moved back to Toronto in 2018 to be a part of the many exciting opportunities as Toronto was becoming a tech hot spot. Discovering a passion for technical recruitment early in her career, she sought to join organizations that were building exciting and innovative products, pushing boundaries and hiring brilliant and ambitious teams.
In Lyndsey's current role at Loblaw Digital she is leading a team and owning all aspects of talent acquisition. Lyndsey's team is passionate about developing a signature candidate experience for every potential team member who interviews. Starting with six colleagues in 2013, Loblaw Digital is now 350+ team members strong and not slowing down. Tanya Woit is the Director of Talent and Operations at Think Research. Think Research is a health technology company that develops knowledge based tools and clinical content for clinicians to deliver the best evidence-based care to patients.
Since joining early in 2013, Tanya has led the team that has grown headcount from 25 to over 230 full-time staff both in and outside of Canada. She loves the fast-paced environment and opportunities to try new approaches that come along with a rapidly growing tech scale-up. Tanya is a strong advocate for empowering her team members to push the boundaries of “old” HR and work with side by side with the teams they support in creating bespoke programs and process.
Outside of work, Tanya is an avid horseback rider, snowboarder and proud mom of a 14 month old boxer puppy named Betty-Lou.
Born and raised in Newfoundland, Chelsea Howard began a career in journalism after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Honours English Literature. Working as a radio & web producer, she uncovered a love of leveraging transmedia to construct narratives and elicit a response from a targeted audience. Chelsea moved to Toronto in 2011 to pursue a Masters of Media Production at Ryerson University.
Upon completion, Chelsea dove into an emerging marketing discipline called employer branding. Applying methodologies ranging from traditional marketing to those born out of her own non-traditional career journey, she has worked with companies ranging from boutique marketing agencies to big brands like Canadian Tire and her current role as Director of Employer Brand at CIBC. Chelsea is an expert in identifying and profiling segmented talent audiences and delivering tailored content strategies that inspire people to think: what's the next step in my career journey?
Chelsea has also been involved in creating cross-platform strategies that speak to members of diverse demographics.
Andrew is truly passionate, candidate/client experience focused talent acquisition professional with close to 10 years of technology-specific recruitment experience in Canada.
Andrew currently leads a team of Sr Recruiters as part of TD's Technology Solutions team. Committed to inspiring others to create a culture of positive impact, he focuses predominantly on process improvement, developing new and exciting recruitment strategies, and managing large talent builds in areas including Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Digital, Mobile, Quants, Trading and Artificial Intelligence.
